“高端轴承依赖进口，为什么我们自己造不出来？”在调研了东三省、浙江、山东等五六个省份之后，中科院山东技术转化中心常务副主任王东升找到了答案：最大的问题出在材质上，“没有好钢，永远造不出高端轴承”。作为机械设备中不可或缺的核心零部件，轴承支撑机械旋转体，降低其摩擦系数，并保证其回转精度。在他看来，无论飞机、汽车、高铁，还是高精密机床、仪器仪表，“凡是旋转的部分，都需要轴承”。
